Hi there,

I need so much help in such a small task; I hope someone can help me.

I have one main report and two sub reports each sub report in its own section on the main report, the main report a GH1 and three D-sections (Da, Db, Dc) on Da I have headers or labels that will describe the Db and Dc, I need this Da to remain suppressed until Db or Dc are not blank, in other words Da should remain hidden until Db or Dc are available.

I hope I didn’t confuse any one..

Nbentley

Thank you

Thanks for your reply,

Do you know how, is there a way of using the sections in a formula, something lake this: in the section export select suppress with formula "Db = blank and Dc = blank"

I am actualy using a shared valriable and assigning a "1" if the link from the main report = the link to the subreport, so when the main report runs it's allways behind one "I will show data from the sobreport with no header and the next part number it will show the header.

It's like reading after the first run..

I'm so confused.

create a running total.. with Field -Any Primary Key value on report; Summary -Count; Evaluate -each record; Reset -on group.

Now, goto section expert of section Da where you have headers and labels... write a formula for Suppress.. something like (RunningTotalValue > 1)...
Let me know if this suffice..
