When trying to run my report, the following error appears:

'REF' report prompt not found.

How can i fix this? when running the preview in crystal reports, the report runs as expected!

if you have a prompt called REF try renaming it.  This will either solve the problem, or perhaps lead to another issue, which may be the real issue.

I doubt that it would matter, but I would try something silly like 'abc' as ref or num may be used internally in the report.

did you use Stored Procedure for your report?
if "yes" it might be from the SP and need to pass to CR as well.

just in-case.

if your report using Stored Procedure (SP) where there are some parameters (or only one param) in the SP then it will prompt you whenever you run the report even you didn't put any param inside CR.

other word: param(s) from SP will automatically included in CR.

but if there is no param(s) in your SP then you can consider what lockwelle suggest.
in this case, please check any variables that using a 'reserve words'.

hope it help.
