New to these forums, and am somewhat new to Crystal design. I work for a law firm, and we have a report that runs and is sorted by attorney. We have just been printing these as hard copies to send to the attorneys, but they now want to send PDF files electronically.

My question is, is it possible to print from one report to a group of PDF files for each unique group name (attorney name) and give the file a unique name?

Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated.

check out ken hamadys site for evaluations of diiferent add on software for this.
I just tried Visual Cut and I am pretty happy with it so far. If I understand your need correctly it will do exactly what you are looking to do.

So far my experience with it has been very good. Ido was great at some technical support re: some issues with scheduling jobs that I had due to my data connection config.

Good luck with it and don't hesitate to contact Ido if you run into any issues. He was very prompt and went the extra mile to get stuff resolved with me.

i am not clear whrther abode has such a  tool, but i usually do such a work and i am using some good imaging sdks which can do the job. iam not an export in the realm, but i have several years´ experience so i can give you some advices. there are many ways to do that. If you wanna save these complicated steps and find a easy way, you can google split pdf and you will find many useful tools, or google how to split pdf to get instructive articles. I use a pdf processing dll  found on the internet . Install it and it becomes a selectable option. Then you can split mutipage pdf into single ones in many formats in any program at all, including Adobe Acrobat . Just open the sdk, select pdf, and choice split, then you can split pdf in vb, c#, asp ,etc ,the task will be finished in several seconds. if you haven´t found a good choice , you can have a try. best wishes.
