current to insert a report and group total I right click the detail field, insert, summary, etc.
 
I have 12 columns on the report. one for each month.
 
Can I highlight all 12 detail columns somehow and insert the summary totals for all in one swoop?
 
for that matter, can I selected multiple fields and set the field format of all enmass?
 
also, the font of my 12 monthly detail columns is set to 8 point. When I insert the summary fields Crystal sets the font to the default - 10.  Would be great if the font size of the summary field was inherited from the detail.

I know you can multi select reports fields and format them. I have never tried tried multi selecting fields and seeing if creating a summary field is possible.  Perhaps another forum member knows the answer. I will be suprised if you can do that, but still being able to quickly change fonts, font sizes, etc.in a number of fields has been useful to me.

You can't insert them all at the same time, but you can change the font on all of them at the same time after you've inserted them.  I doubt that the folks at Business Objects will ever change the format to match the data - their assumption is that everyone wants to distinguish the summary from the detail by making it appear different.  (Just like their assumption that everyone automatically wants a border around subreports...I've had issues with that for 10 years! Angry)
