I am trying to export a report in Excel (data only). My report has 6 columns. First column is ID whose control width is small, second field is Description  whose control width is about 5 times that of ID, then I have 4 field to display the dollar amount which is the same width as ID. When I export the report to excel, it exports fine. But there are empty columns between second column and third column. is there a way i can suppress these columns. I can do it by reducing the size of the description field to that of ID, but in that case description field gets truncated when you view it on the viewer and pdf.

Any thoughts on how to fetch the report columns in the excel columns without any empty columns inbetween.

Thanks,
Kiran

Have the columns side by side with out any gap. and try exporting the data to excel. If you still getting the same problem try to insert an empty text box for the column header and column.
