Hi (please excuze my langage, I'm French)

I'm quite new to crystal reports XI and I have a little problem.

Everytime I open a report, there is a dialog box asking for the password to connect to the database (the name of the SQL server, the login are remembered from the last connection but not the password, and if I tick the "use embedded security" the report opens itself normally).

I'd like to bypass this password check because operators always call me when they see this dialog box. Is there an option to enter the password in the .rpt file itself so that the password is already known when I try to open the report?

Thanks a lot for your help
Best regards

How are the operators opening the report?  In other words, what software are you using to provide access to your reports?

We use a little developped software that send some parameters to the .rpt file using a text file like this :

#ReportName \\SRV-SQLSERVER\Reports\Test.rpt
#ServerName SRV-SQLSERVER
#DatabaseName Reports
#Login ***
#Password ***
#TypeExport screen
#Posx 0
#Posy 0
#Width 1600
#Height 1200
#ReportParam E:\ParamTest.txt

The strange thing is that it works perfectly without asking for password and doesnt work with newest reports I created. I've checked every parameters possible but couldnt find any differences between configurations of reports. I think I might have missed one tricky parameter somewhere but can't find it...
