    Posted: 03 Sep 2007 at 11:27pm
Hi,

We have a very complex report with 3 input parameters, say A, B, C. These parameters are fetched from oracle stored procedures. Now we have changed the datatype in the oracle procedure of parameter "C" from number to date. However, after changing the datatype of this parameter, we are not able to generate the report. If we do "Verify Database", this change of data type is not getting reflected.
Is there any way, by which the data type of the input parameter "C" will also get changed. There will be lot of effort required in re-doing the report.
Any solution will be appreciated.
Jay.

Is C coming from its own stored proc?  Is it the only information coming from that stored proc or are there fields on the report from it too?

Have you tried "Set Location" to point the stored proc to the new version of it?  Or, you might have to remove the stored proc from the report and then re-add it to get Crystal to recognize the new format of the field.

Setting the datasource location, even to the same datasource, will force Crystal to get fresh parameters.  Verify database looks at the returned columns  - when these change verify database will catch it.
