Hello Guys...

I'm not that good at crystal reports, but I have the following question...

My company has a product the generates an immutable reports, those reports can't be edited or changed at all. Some of our clients sometimes ask for special reports that is not supported by our product, so I need a way to use crystal reports to generate this report and make it available for our clients in a separate application (web or windows application) without the use of visual studio.... thanks.

If you want to make it available as a separate application, I recommend creating either a java or visual studio application b/c that gives you the most control over how it is presented to the client. But since you say that isn't an option, you could also use the free Crystal Reports Viewer and the client can download it to view the reports you create for them.

There is a Crystal viewer component available for the Eclipse Java IDE, so you could use that to build an application that is not through Visual Studio.
