	how do specify the date format in formula field?

	Try creating a formula using: DateValue({datefieldname}). I believe this will just return the date from the datetime field. Regards, John W. www.CustomReportWriters.net

	Another one, if the result of the formula is a date, you can paste it in the report, and then just right click it, and go to the format menu, and then just simply choose the format you want to use...
