I am trying to read from an access database directly using vb.net visual studio 2008 crystal reports. The crystal panel comes up with headings, but no data. I have downloaded and installed the redistribution package and using OLE/jet4. No data is displayed

Sounds like you have a Null value somewhere.Nulls will stop a report if you don't account for them in some way.Try removing 1 field at a time and see if the report will run.If it does you'll know what field is the problem and what the format is will give you a clue as to how to fix it.
