Is there any way to change the grouping of a report depending on a value selected in a parameter? I have never done this before so does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks

Yes. Build a formula based upon that parameter and then group on the formula. You can also do the same for dynamic sorting of the group data. I have various examples in Chapter 3 of my new book. You should specifically look at Tutorial 3-7 on page 145.

Basically,  I want the user to be able to choose whether they want the report grouped by department or by geographical region. So the parameter will allow them to select either of those choices and then group the report accordingly.
