Topic: Select a field Posted: 21 Sep 2007 at 3:40am
Hi,
i'm new to crystal reports and there's something i'm unable to do. I hope you can help me.
I have 2 columns in my data table :
Type Value
Maximum 12 Minimum 1 Mean 3
What i'd like to do is to have each of those value in a separate field of my report, for example i would like to have the maximum appear in the top right of my report and the minimum appear in the top left.
How do i make a text field in which i have the value of the maximum? Is it possible?
When i use the selection expert it applies to the whole report, so it's not a solution for me.

You are trying to put multiple records into a single report section. CR doesn't allow this. Instead, you need some type of trick. One way would be to create a subreport with this data and then put the subreport in the main report's header. In the subreport, I would allow use the Underlay Following Sections option so that they can appear next to each other. It's a bit tricky and since you are new to CR it might be tough. But that's the best I can think of.
