	For a report, i need to create a text file, were the diferent fields are being seperated with a \| Unfortunatly i can't get it made. I tried several options, but somehow CR 2008 doesnt understand that he needs to export with the \| as seperator. My export should look like this: abcd\|1234\|efgh\|0987\|\|\|5285\|aaa\|\| Does anybody have an idea on how to create this? tnx

	export as Separated Values (csv) and select delimitor. worked for me

	Tnx! I now get the correct delimiter, unfortunatly he sets for every record the header before the data. \|nr\|name\|zip\|city\|201\|Lastname\|1234AA\|Amsterdam\| \|nr\|name\|zip\|city\|202\|Lasstname\|1234AB\|The Hague\| im further already, now just need to figure out how he exports one header and the rest records. nr\|name\|zip\|city\| 201\|Lastname\|1234AA\|Amsterdam\| 202\|Lasstname\|1234AB\|The Hague\| Is there any way of correcting this problem? i tried all options in the export options, perhaps i missed something? 	probably not... CR doesn't give you much control over how it exports. Usually it exports in such a way that it mimics what is displayed on the screen, so if you have displayed a header and detail records, then the next header and detail records, I would expect the same in the csv file....i know that it is that way in the Excel export. HTH

	hi, I need to export from crystal report to excel, but my report contains more than 500000 records; exporting stops in between and only 5000 records are contained in the xls.Can anyone please help me out..its very urgent. Thanks, Smitha

	through CR 2008, you can only export to Excel 2003 (or something close) which is limited to about 65000 rows. Sorry. I don't know if newer versions have different exports as I don't use them.
