We are having trouble with an issue with Crystal Reports 2008 and was wondering if I could get some help.  My Crystal Reporting skills are about at a medium level.

We are joining table X by using an outer join.  The issue that I am having is that when I add a parameter to table X where field A is not equal to 101, it seems that the outer join function is not working correctly.  Does anybody have any advice on this situation?

an outer join can effectively become an inner join if you limit the data in the select expert.
sometiimes you can fix it by using some form of isnull() in the condition but that is not always the case
