I have a report that has a monthly column and a year-to-date column. They are both summing the same value but differently. If the fiscal month is July which is the first month in the fiscal year then the YTD column is the same value since it's only the first month. But if its November the fifth month in the fiscal year then the YTD column will be the sum of the months from July to Noverber (five months worth).

           Monthly                      YDT

July        150,000                  150,000
Aug        100,000                  250,000
Sep        200,000                  450,000

As you can see the monthly column has the money for that month only, while the YTD column is the sum of the current month plus any prior months. Any ideas on how this can be done.

Er, that's just a running total.  Have you looked up running totals in the help file?  Unless I'm missing some part of your question, that's just the classic implementation.  You would go to Field Explorer, create a new Running Total field, and set it to sum your monthly amounts.  That's pretty much all there is to it.  You can also use some other options to, for instance, have it reset when the fiscal year resets.
