I am trying to generate a report that will compare disparate date ranges. I do a weekly report that compares weeks from different years. For example, I compare week 1 for the current year to week 1 for the previous year. However, the weeks contain different dates. The date range for week 1 of 2012 is 1/2/12 to 1/8/12. The date range for week 1 of 2011 was 1/3/11 to 1/9/12. I would then have a % change column to show whether there was an increase or decrease in an occurrence.

I am having a hard time because I can't figure our how to do this without creating subreports and also try to show the % change.

Any ideas are welcomed.

Does accounting provide a calendar for which weeks are considered week 1?

In our database accounting enters the start date for fiscal week 1 - 52, and we use those as the basis for our accounting stats.

Do you have any information from accounting that is similar?
