I am fairly new to Crystal and i've been asked by my boss to build a report he mocked up in below picture.

My first idea was to use subreports and links but i am not even sure if it would work.

Top of the chart, you have number of boxes with different functions. "All" is all product lines, then i have individual boxes for each product line and time based metrics (MTD, YTD ect)right below it.

Can this be built using link and sub reports ? The ultimate goal is to integrate it with CRM using Iframe to expose this data to Sales.

Yes, it can be done with on demand subreports. I did something similar with a map. The main page showed high level summaries and if they wanted details for any particular state, you clicked on the state and the subreport would show the details.

Thank you for your response Ricci. Can the subreports be passed date or other parameters as filters ?

A user may need see a product line ABC's YTD numbers, but then they may click on "previous month" link to change the time frame of the report.

Is this possible at all ?
