When building/rebuilding a project the warning 'Crystal Reports 2008 cannot find dependent item MDAC 2.8'.

Where can this item be found? How to cure?

That would depend on what Operating System you're using.It's not a part of Crystal Reports but is a part of Windows. Google  MDAC 2.8 and it will come up with links to help you install or repair it.

OS 8 on both laptop and desktop. Tried your suggestion and no joy.

To another concern: whenever developing in .net, location of the db for the report is always ../bin/debug. When building and deploying the program am told that a password is needed to get to the report. However, after changing db location in CR 2008, all is ok in oz.

How to cure? thank you.
