I have a report that I'm exporting to csv. I have it all figured out and finally got it working and I see that the report gives a separate employee ssn on a separate line for each checkdate throughout the year.

I have all of the information for each employee totaled up throughout the report  like so

call variable in header
build variable in details
call and show variable in footer

any idea why I get a line per check in the footer? any help would be great!

thank you!

to clear this up when i view my report inside of crystal it shows like this

employee ssn, firstname, mi, lastname and so on

when i run my report and it show in excel it looks like this

employee ssn
employee ssn
employee ssn
employee ssn
employee ssn
employee ssn, firstname, mi, lastname and so on

it looks like it's repeating the ssn for every checkdate when it should only show the ssn once like it does with the rest of the footer.

any help is greatly appreciated.

This was caused by improper use of crystals IO functions and is fixed.
