We just converted our database this past weekend. In our current crystal reports we used a chars field that was raw but is now binary. The field is giving us only the first 2 letters of the field. So it looks like it is converting but stopping after the 2 letter. I've checked to see if the is a left, right justify or anything like that and there isn't. There is no formats on this field in any of the reports. Any ideas on how to get the rest of the data? We have at least 3 very critical reports that need this fix ASAP.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide. I will keep searching in the meantime as we need to get this fixed.

Thanks!!!

Did you do a Verify Database (Database-Verify Database) after the change was done to the database.

I am not sure what the difference between a chars field that is raw vs. binary.

Actually we have figured out that we have a field specifically designed for us that was changed with the upgrade. Our provider has given us a script to fix this issue as it didn't really relate to Crystal necessarily. The script has us re-mapping the field to something that will actually read the new field in Crystal.

Thank you for your help and response. It really is appreciated. I love this site everyone is always willing to help!! :)
