Hi all :)

My main report is an A3 giant db logins information.

Underneath that one I've got a subreport which has 79 records.

Now I could fit 2 A4'S with 50 results max each and it should do it...

Now I haven't got a clue how to do that... The query I have for the subreports don't any index no. (its stupid and complicated but im not allowed to change it t.t)

Does CR even support column breaks?

Ken Hamady posted this on another forum. Although subreports weren't part of that thread and could throw a wrench. Other forums seemed to indicate it wasn't possible.

The simple method is to create have empty Group Footer or and empty Group Footer subsection and then have this section checked to "Print at bottom of page".  This forces the next group to start at the top of a column.

Also found this on another site, but only for groups, not subreports.

  1. In Details section's 'Section Expert', select 'Format with Multiple Columns'
  2. Select the (now visible) Layout tab
  3. Select 'Format Groups with multiple column'
  4. Add a second group on your date field by year (make sure it is 'outside' the mm/yyyy grouping)
  5. Size the footer of the section you created in #4 to get each year to be in its own column
