Hi
I'm trying to find a function in Crystal similar to CLEAN in Excel. I have a set of data with some rogue characters in a field, which I can't see but I know they are there!
Any help much appreciated.

I am not aware of any function that replicates it exactly but you can use multiple instances of REPLACE() to remove specific characters and also TRIM() to remove lead and end spaces

Thanks for your help, I tried TRIM() but it didn't remove the characters.

Thanks for your help.

The multiple uses of REPLACE() would be more for removing the characters in the middle of the string. The trim only removes lead or trail spaces

Thanks for this, I tried both but neither were as successful as excel's CLEAN function.

Thanks again.
