It's not possible to do this directly from Crystal. However, there are third-party tools available that provide this functionality. A good place to start looking for these tools is here: http://www.kenhamady.com/bookmarks.html

From what I can recall. Bursting was done on mulit-layer forms (normally printed out on large line printers). The burster would seperate the layers (basically carbon copies).

That is probably the origin of the term "bursting" documents (many moons ago, I ran one of those machines!) That form of bursting is something different from what we're talking about here, though.
