Hi,
 
I am using a line chart in crystal report XI version, Grouping by status,
Active and Pending, so two lines One is Active and One is Pending, X-Axis is Months,
But I want one more line showing the sum of both active and pending for the perticular month.
 
Please give me a solution it is urjent.

For example:
 
Table:
           Position      Year    status    Month_name
                1           2010  Pending      jan
                2           2010  Active         jan
                3           2010  Pending      feb
                4           2010  Pending      mar
                5           2010  Active          apr
 
with a cross tab:
_______________  rows: year and status,
                                Column : Month_name
                                 Summary : Count
 
 
year      status      month_name
------------------------------------------------------------------
                              Jan    feb  mar apr may jun
2010     pending    5        6     5     4    10    12
             Active       4        6     4     6     12    12
         
 
 
with above data if we build a line chart x axis will be the months and two lines will appear, apart from these two i want one more line with summing up of active+pending.
 
Please let me know if  any queries.

Hope this workaround works for you, I am not able to create another series for total of pending and active in the same chart, but able to create a separate chart  for Month which creates the total of Active + Pending and places besides the chart which shows numbers of active and pending for the specified month.
 
Steps:-
 
*Create Group MontName,Status, Insert Summary for Number of Status in MonthGroup footer which will give you sum of Active+Pending.
 
*Then Create the new chart based on the Group and Place it next to the chart based on Cross Tab.
 
*Suppress the sections which you don't want to be shown in the report.
 
Hope some one here has a better solution......

Hi,
 
One more workaround could be to create Stacked Bar Chart usign the Group details for the chart.
 
*So the Entire Bar will be the total for Active+Pending
*And the division will be for Active and Pending

Hi,

I have used stacked bar chart in that options tab i have selected show obsolute values and show totals, then my problem is solved, now i can show active , pending & total also,
