Topic: Upgrade Path Advice Posted: 30 Jul 2010 at 1:44am
I need some help in figuring out what I need to upgrade our CR infrastructure.
We currently using the following: Crystal Reports X with reports on an IIS webserver. They delivered by unmanaged RAS via classic .asp. So its a bunch of web pages passing params etc into the reports and then calling the viewers. Fairly simple stuff. And that is how we want to keep it.
The upgrade path when looking at the various CR sites is really unclear. Do we go to XI (either version) of jump to 2008. What is the best direction to preserve the currently written classic .asp or do we have to move to asp.net? What do we need to buy from CR.
The reports have an audience in the hundreds, but no more than 10 concurrent users. They access both Oracle and DB2.
