I have a few fields that have a lot of characters in them. I have the 'can grow' option checked in the field formatting and they are displaying fine on the preview and when published through Business Objects.

However, the client wants to be able to export the report to excel, when i do this, excel cuts of the last few lines of all of the large fields. The rest of the text appears when you expand the rows in excel but she cannot be expected to go through the report expanding rows as the reports are massive.

Is there a reason why this is happening to the fields in excel or is it just typical MS Office??!

Any help will be much appreciated

Unfortunately, this is an issue in Excel.  The easiest way for your user to handle this will be to open the spreadsheet, press Ctrl-End and then Home to go to the bottom of the data.  Press Ctrl-A to select all data and then double-click on the bottom line of the row-header (where it gives the row number to the left of the data.)  This should expand all of the rows that need it instead of having to expand individual rows.

Yea I have tried that approach by selecting all and expanding the rows, but it seems to just resize all of the rows to the default size and still cuts off the bottom few lines of each long text field.Angry
