For a chart I want to show the value of a formula that simply divides one report field against another.

The problem is under the data tab in the chart expert the formula isn't showing up as a selection under Report Fields.  The formula is inserted in the report details.
 
What is the solution?

Formulas that don't show up for charting are second pass formulas. Second pass formulas involve summary functions or print state functions. You can only chart on first pass formulas.
