I want to show Sr.No. in report output e.g

Page Hdr Sec      Sr. No.   Col_2       Col_3
Group Hdr Sec     1.            A             100
Group Hdr Sec     2.            B             200
Group Hdr Sec     3.            C             300
Group Hdr Sec     4.            D             400

I am creating a formulae field using this but its not working

NumberVar i :=1;
whileprintingrecords;
i=i+1;
i
Note:- I am supressing the Detail Section and showing only Groupheader section as shown above.
