Hi,
I'm wondering how would I connect to an excel file in the same directory as the crystal report. I want to create a promt that would ask the user for the filename of the excel file in the same directory. Then it would connect to that file.

You can't do this directly in Crystal. You would have to write an application where the user would select the file and then the application will set the datasource for the report before displaying it.
