I have 4 columns in my datasource
I need to show detail organized this way

col1 col2 col3 col4           col1 col2 col3 col4
item1                             item5
item2                             item6
item3                             item7
item4                             item8

i need to use at best the space on the page so it's required to show detail in 2 parts, one beside the other.
I have to put items from 1 to 40 on the left side
from 41 to 80 on the right side.
then after 80 i need to go in a new page and repeat this scenario.
I hope i've been clear.

Anyone can give me a solution?

Thanks for your attention, luigi

you could put the field in the page twice and use a select formula to include item 1-40 on the left field and then 41-80 on the right field.  That might work if I understand completely what your trying to do.

I think your solution will produce this result :
clo1 col2 col3 col4       col1 col2 col3 col4
Item1
Item2
item3
item4
                          Item5
                          Item6
                          Item7
                          Item8

That is not what i'm looking for.
By now the only solution i could think about was this :
Give this sructure to the table passed as datasource :

col11 col12 col13 col14 col21 col22 col23 col24

and populate it in the "Constructor" of the Dataset putting items in that table this way :
item 1   item 41
item 2   item 42
..................
item 40 item 80

But i'm still waiting for a better solution if anyone have one.

Anyone knows a way to get records from X to Y in a formula?

thanks anyway Luigi
