I am working in asp.net since 1 yeat
But i did not use crystal reports even for a single time.
now i tried to use it with sql server2000 but it does not show anything in report. can any one help me how to use it in asp.net 2.0 with sql server2000

Its hard to find a specific cause from your description.

 
Things you need to be sure are your connection strings, permissions for the web server, and the sql server. Does your report show data in the designer but fail in the app? I am probably missing a number of other things but perhaps other will add to the list.

when i use the report with access data source it works fine. when i use sql server2000 and i put some attributes in report body, it does not show any thing in designer nor show anything in runtime page. I think there is some basic problem which i am losing because of being new learner

thanks for your consideration,
 
i used crystal reports with ms access and it worked fine. but now when i use sql server2000 and i put some attributes in report, it does not show anything in designer. and does not show anything in page at runtime. i think i am missing some basics of reports because of being new learner to cystal reports

It sounds like you aren't connecting to the database properly. Do you have permissions to access the database? Did you check that the user id and password were entered correctly? What if you choose the menu option Verify Database - does it give you a successful message?

now it is prompting this error

how can i pass parameters?
