In crystal XI, is there some means by which I could make an input parameter optional(conditional appearnace of a parameter)?

 

Like if I leave an input parameter without selecting, report scheduling does not proceed but expects values for all the input parameters.

I mean can the input parameter disappear according to some embedded formula or even if it does exist, the report should schedule even if we do not select a value for that input parameter. Please let me know of your views.

 

the requirement is that we have a parameter as 'yes' or 'no'. If we select this as 'yes' then a following parameter should become optional (ie. if the user selects the first parameter as 'yes', then the user is not required to select the second parameter. But if he selects 'no' for the first parameter then he is required to select the second parameter.

 

 

if this is not feasible then can you please suggest a way by which we can have a scenario wherein we can have a static value added to the cascaded dynamic list of values produced by a cascaded dynamic prompt. ie.as the cascaded dynamic prompt fetches the value directly from the database, it does not takes static (default) values (as u can either make a parameter static or dynamic). But in addition to a cascaded list getting fetched from the database we need another static value to be present in the list which would not be in the database.
