Hi my friends,

i have a little question. Smile
IF! How can i get the object-size from a forumlar field?

Like {@test} has postion x = 10 ; y = 10 ; width = 200 ; height = 100;

The background for this question is very simple,
it try to split a text with the help of the width of {@test}.

Can anybody help me? :)

Additionally:
Split the text with the help of the amount of the characters in collaboration with left(), right() is a nice alternative, but not usefull for my problem ;)

many thanks and best regards

wouldn't it be nice....
to the best of my knowledge, CR doesn't expose the size...

you would have to know it before hand and code that way...

though it doesn't have any method, that I know of, to determine how long your string is either, so unfortunately, the best that I can offer is to count characters, but it never looks correct with proportional fonts
