I have an old Crystal  (written in 8.5)    the author is no longer with the company.    Normally we set up an ODBC to a SQL database, when we want to change database we would "Set Location" to a different ODBC.

I need to link to a different database and I have setup the new ODBC and linked to it.   However the data on the report is not changing.   I have switched databases many times   so I know how to do it.

The author has done something to link to the current database tables which is not "our"  norm.  (maybe a view or stored procedure)    I can't find it.   Any suggestions on how to find how he was linking to the current database     I need to run this report on a different database.

The only time I have had the "Set Location" not work is when the new connection is the same name as the old connection.

I have verified that the ODBC's are different names and different database.
