We use a piece of CRM software that uses Crystal Report 9 to pull information from the database. It was here when we all started and no one knows how to write reports in it. I have a little Access experience but not enough to get effective reports out.
The hot topic now is how to pull certain information as it relates to 3 fields, Type, Subtype, and catagory. As you would guess for any type there are many subtypes and for any subtype there are many catagories.
What I need is assistance in finding out how many catagories are related to a subtype that is related to a type. The report would look something like this:
Type Subtype Catagory Total
1 1 3 6
2 4
1 2
4 1
2 1 5
2 3
5 2
3 1
4 1
2 1 1 7
2 3
and so on.
Each type section would have totals for subtypes and catagories.
It would seem that there would be page headers, group headers and so on but.... any help that is offered is greatly appreciated.
I have gone through the manual that came with Crystal 9 but haven't gotten all the way through it yet and so far, haven't been able to use any of the examples on my problem.
Thanks in advance,
Ron...
