Hi Folks,

I'm new to Crystal Report and in a rush to create a few simple reports. The data source is SQL server in which I have a database called wapiti, under which I have two tables named 'hour' and 'day'.

The two tabke have exactly same columns and when report is created, I select both tables as data source. These two tables are linked automatically by name since they have exactly same columns.

I start to drag fields from 'hour' table and drop them in 'Details' section of the reports, everything seems ok at this point. Now if I drag a field from 'day' table, to the report, all the data disappear. May I know why and what should I do to have the report containing fields from two tables?

Thank you in advance,

Ted

This is because of the linkings, if you have every field linked then it is looking for data that matches in both tables.

Crystal will only query the databases that are used, so when you use the field from hour only it doesnt look and day.

Change you linkings so that only one field is linked? and if only one field is linked, then that data exists in both tables. otherwise you can change you link types. (right mouse click on the link and select change link)
