Hi,

My organization wanted me to develop reports and someone recommended to me Crystal Reports. I've worked with Access before, do you think that Crystal Reports is the best reporting tool or is there another one I shoudl check out as well?

Thank you for your help,

Since everyone here uses CR I suppose there is a bias towards what we know. There are other reporting products, and in truth depending on your need you may like them.

I settled on Crystal Reports because it handles just about every data source, it is often packaged with other products (consider it is bundled with Visual Studio).
What you have in CR is a very mature product that has been in the market place for many years. You have a lot of support options not the least of which is this forum. You have a number of third party books which can be invaluable. Consider the host of this site's new book Crystal Reports  Encyclopeida  (Volume 1) Professional Reports.

Its hard to find this with other products.

Regards,

John W.
