There seems to be a problem with ASP.NET report viewer and IE 10.0. The reports is not rendered properly. If I just switch mode in IE 10 developer tools to IE 9, the report is shown.

When was IE 10 released? Does IE 10 have a "compatibility mode"? Does the viewer work there? Which version of the viewer are you using? Is it updated for the latest service pack?
It can take several months after the release of a new version of IE for SAP to update the viewer for any changes.

Yes it works in IE 9 mode. It was released a few weeks ago to MSDN subscribers, but the beta has been available for 6 months. SAP said that they are going to work on it, but my point is that if you have an important product and relies on OS and browser to work, they should have been working on it for months and have a working version by now. Maybe my expectations are too high.

From experience, your expectations are definitely too high. There probably won't be a compatible version until sometime after IE10 is released to the public.
