I am new to using charts in Crystal.  I havent used any charts for years.

I created a chart from a Command that I pasted a query into.
The chart looks fine for the first step.

Now I need to drill down into the data displayed on the chart.
This is where I am stuck.
How do I go about drilling down?

I have the chart in the report header right now.
I moved it to a group section as I read in a book.  However, that divided my single chart into individual charts, which I dont want.

How do I successfully drill down in the chart I created?

the structure of the report has to support the the way the chart is organized and the summarizations need to be based on the group level sumamrizatrions.

basically you have have to set up your groups in the report, then sum or count in the group.
then in the chart design on data use the group option and then the available items that appear for you to use are based on the the group and group summarizations you created in the rest of the report set up/design.

If I create a group on Manager and put all of the fields in the group header, where do I put the chart?

I created a group on Manager.  I also put a count of part numbers in the group header.  The rest of the fields are in details.

When I add the chart in the group section, it divides the single chart into an individual one for each Manager.

I understand why it gets divided.  What I dont understand is how can I make this work to where I can drill down into the data in a single chart for all managers listed in the data.

I put it in the header and now the chart looks right.

How do I drill down into the data without the chart being in a group?
All I have read says to drill down it has to be in a group.

Mine does not turn to a magnifying glass.  I have tried to make the chart use the group as its source and it wont let me.

I dont understand.
It is a chart I created using the chart wizard.  I clicked Insert Chart and did the steps to tell it what data to use.

It created the chart.

IDK what else to say.
