Has anyone ever used Shared StringVar to pass values from a subreport to the main report?
I think I'm about 95% there.

I have a formula in my subreport that passes the value in a shared variable. Then I have a formula in the main report to read that variable (both use WhilePrintingRecords).

However, I can't get that formula to show up to insert a group or in group expert.

Please contact me if you can.

Thanks!

HI

Go in Help and see Crystal Reports Passes, you can't insert a group or call in another formula or insert in record selection when you use Whileprintingrecords  in your formula.

You can insert a group on whilereadingrecords.

Thanks,
