Hello Amazing People,

I have a client that needs his reports in Excel, but when I export to Excel from CR, a wide variety of narrow rows and columns show up in between those holding the pertinent data. The client needs his results in SPECIFIC CELLS, but I do not know how I can accomplish that translating my Crystal Reports report into Excel. Ideas?

Hi Amy,

What is the version of Crystal Reports?
What is the export type are you using to export the report from Crystal Report designer?
Is it MS Excel(97-2003) or MS Excel(97-2003)Data-Only format?
Try with different format..
Try to export the report to PDF format and check whether are you getting same format as in designer..

It's Crystal 2008. I am using the MS Excel 97-2000 format. The Data Only... defeats the purpose of using Crystal Reports to format it. The PDF format comes out great.

Thanks bunches for any assistance you can give.

Hi Amy,

Adjust the fields sizes in Design tab.
Make sure all the fields are in same height(Y axis value).
Make sure there is no space between fields(column wise).
If you have any empty space in the section then adjust the size(by Right click on the section and select Fit Section)
If possible, Can you post the screen shot of your excel and Design tab?
