I have CR9.  I have a text box that is a certain width.  At run time (using Active X) the text is wider than the box I created.  I have tried it with can grow checked and unchecked.

Any ideas why the text is wider than the box I created? How do I stop it?

Note that Can Grow will not extend the text box horizontally.  It only extends it vertically.  And, if you don't have spaces in the text for Crystal to find a breakpoint, it may not allow it to jump to a new line.

The other probable issue is that the font in the final product is slightly different than the font in the development environment.  This is frequently because of printer differences.

OK.  I get all that.  But why is the text not wrapping based on the width of the text box?  Why would the text not wrap?

Hi

Can you post the details of the text and the textbox details such as height width..... X, Y axis details...Also let me know when you mean Active X do you mean when you run the report using Crystal Enterprise...

Thanks
