    Posted: 17 Feb 2016 at 12:44am
Hi,

I have a table which contains Memo field type, because the user need to type many lines information.

My issue:
When the User print the report, this info field will printed continuing to next page without break.
So, it's not correct.

How to split this memo field when it comes / reach some lines and continue to next page?

Thanks in advance.

Note:
I am using CR XI.

Short of creating formulas that split the memo field up either by the number of characters or a number of lines (looking for a number of chr(13)'s).  Either way could be rather messy.

I have created 2 formulas to check how many characters and how many lines for the Memo. And plan to split it in two parts.

But confuse with how to print those 2 parts? By using Section Expert?

I would put each formula in a section.  That way you could suppress the section if the memo if it was not that long.  Also you would not need to worry about the formulas overlapping.

Thanks a lot, Kevlray. It's solved now.
Just playing with sections and variables.

Case close.
