Hi,

I was tasked with converting reports from ODBC style data sources to OLE.  All has gone well, except for 1 report.  It has cascading parameters.  I cannot seem to get the 2 stored procedure parameters to map to the cascading prompt correctly.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,

There isn't any reason that I know of why it wouldn't map properly. Are you getting error messages, is the data not what you expect, what is happening that would help indicate what is going on in the background.

When I changed the from the ODBC connection to the OLE connection, the stored procedures parameters appearred.

There are basically 5 stored parameters, the first 2 are somewhat dependant on each other, they represent a company and a division.  I am using commands to populate the parameter's values dynamically.  In the parameter box, where you set the cascading prompts, I can't choose or don't how to set which stored proc parameter should populate from the cascade.  When I click on the prompt to create a parameter, Crystal gives them a name, but I can't seem to be able to link it back to the stored procedure.

Thanks, this site is always a help.

Figured it out, dummy me.

The parameters to the stored procedure changed, and I forgot, and that is what is causing my issues.  My cascading prompts were not part of the original stored procedure call.

Will recode and place some of the code in the report selection portion.

Thanks for taking a look.
