I am to modify a report.

When I look in the repository, I find what I'm looking for and open it, it is what I expected, everything is fine, except the tab above has a different name - it is the name of the previous report the person has taken this from, edited and renamed and save to the repository.

Can anyone explain why if this is posted as a particular, correct name in the repository can be shown in the tab as something else? I've 'saved as' somewhere else, thinking it's a 'renaming at document level' problem but it's just the same.

I'm not asking for a solution here because I think it's a problem inside Crystal and not simple. Have you seen it before - is it a known bug?

Thanks

Where are you looking for the report name?  Have you checked the Properties of the report?

Nice one hilfy.

When opening the File item labelled Summary Info... which opens as Document Properties (very poor) therein lay the problem indeed. This was so bland of detail I didn't consider it being significant.

Your footer comment is very good. I disagree, however. As a lifelong user of MacOS / UNIX of choice and hateful user of Microsoft for work, Microsoft software does whatever it's not told to do.

I'm glad that helped!

My footer is more based on the fact that I'm a programmer and it comes from debugging experience. Tongue
