Address 1   -> line 1

Address 2    -> line 2

Address 3    -> line 3

Address 4    -> line 4
 
Zip Code, City, Country   -> line 5
 
 
Refer to the example above, I need a help on this. My problem is when Address 4 is an empty data, it will create a gap between Address 3 and Zip Code, City, country line. How can I make it to eliminate the gap and during the info display, the Zip code, City, Country will be display directly after the Address 3. Can anyone guide me on this?

Hi,

Modify the report and Insert a Text Object. 

Place the address fields in this Text Box. 
 
Click on the Text Objects and choose Format Text. 
 
Check the option that says Surpress Embedded Blank Field Lines and this should work.

Another way to do it is to create a separate section for each line of the address and then turn on "Suppress If Blank" for each section.

The solutions you mentioned, I don't really understand. Do you mind to explain more detail on it? Just another reference for me.
 
What I do at first is I drag the address field arrange like what I shown in my example above. Then I right click the "Address 3" field, go to format field, next to the suppress option got a formula icon. Then I click in and write a formula Address 3 ="" or Isnull(Address 3). But it wont suppress the empty field.

Hilfy's solution involves creating multiple detail sections.

In design view, right-click on the Details section, and select "Insert Section Below".  You will now have Details A and Details B.  If you do this a couple more times, you can have a separate Details section for each line of your address.  Put one of your address fields in each details section.  In the Section Expert, toggle the "Suppress Blank Section" option on.

One potential downside to this approach is that it suppresses the entire line.  Depending on your report, this may not be a big issue.  But, many reports have information to one side of the address, which makes this option less viable.
