	i am running a very simple query in a crystal report - SELECT 'date' FROM 'xsale_out' i tried SELECT 'date' FROM 'xsale_logs'.'xsale_out' but this doesnt work either. i keep getting a syntax error pl advice thanks

	I did ! Didnt work .... the reason I tried it with the single quotes is because in one of the crsystal reports i went into the menu and 'viewed the query ' as generated by CR for that report and noticed it was using single quotes in this manner.... ur views ...

	check this SELECT xsale_out.date FROM xsale_logs.xsale_out
