I am new to this forum so pardon me if I missed a related post or if I'm in the wrong topic.
I have an existing report for printing our job labels on a 1" x 3" stock. I am currently using Crystal Reports XI. The data on the current label is as follows:
WO# 99999999 PN 999-999-9999
WORK CTR
comp. PN 999-999-9999 Issue Qty: 9999
component description
(ref. designators) r1, r2, r3, r4
My problem is in that sometimes the reference designators can be a list of 30 or 40 locations. Currently in these case the entire label is printing again only allowing 7 to 10 per label. What I am trying to do is find a way to roll just the remaining designators to the next label. In other words if there are too many reference designators for the first label suppress the first four lines of the label which should allow me to print all remaining designators on only one to three labels. Currently, since it is printing the first four rows on each label it will take 15 to 20 labels where it should take 3 at most.
