How do I set a tab stop on a text object, VS 2005 crystal reports?  The documentation I found for 2003 doesnt seem to be the same. Visual Studio 2005 has a tab for tabs after paragraph on text formatting.  Did they forget  we need tabs in VS 2005?

wanting to format:

John Smith 25%
Steve Jobs 50%
William Gates 25%

to

John Smith                25%
Steve Jobs                50%
William Gates            25%

using arial fonts so need to insert tabs not spaces.. have everything working in CR function except I need a tab stop..

Thanks

could you separate the values, have name in one field and percentage in another?  Much cleaner, always works out right.  After all if a name is unusually long or short, tabs won't look right either (just check a tab delimited file).

Just a thought.

unfortunately not.. the data in the field contains other info and doesnt always contain percentages

I can handle strings that end up to long in my function by inserting a newline and tabbing it over to align.

can't believe this text object property is available in 2008 and so hard to find in 2005.
