    Posted: 30 Mar 2009 at 12:16pm
Hi. I am getting a blank row in my excel output at the bottom of each of my sections (Report Header, Page Header, Details). Is there anyway to suppress these?

I am using Crystal 11.5, with export option "Microsoft Excel 97-2000 (XLS)".

Thanks,
Torres

Have you tried using the "Microsoft Excel 97-200 (Data Only)" export?  The one that you're using tries to format the output to be "pretty" so there are extra rows, merged columns, etc.  The Data Only export does just that - no extra formatting, just the data.  It seems to be a much cleaner export if you need to manipulate the data.

hilfy:-
I do need some fields displayed at the top so can't use the "Data Only" option unfortunately.
The problem is that the receiving client website requires fields to begin at certain rows. With Crystal adding extra blank rows, we are having to delete these rows before submitting.
It would be nice if we didn't have to.

joshdooley:-
No, sorry.

Unfortunately, there's not really any way to control how Crystal does its Excel export to prevent those extra lines.  Sorry!
